How does the wire pass through not end up leaking at some point?

Ok I think I need to jump into this myself instead of going thru a third party. I sent off the prototype to be tested, with pics and feedback, and unfortunately I got crickets so here I am just signing up and posting so I can continue this project without going thru an intermediary.

FWIW my name is Joey and I own Wits’ End. I’d love to get this back on track so this is me doing that :p

I pulled the interior roof panel and ran the wires back to the 3rd light. I filed a small half-hole at the bottom of the 3rd light hole and ran my wires through this half-hole and reinstalled the brake light. This is the third truck I have done this on. No leaks.

@YamaDirtrider Josh, weren't you working on this or was that just a one off for yourself?

I’m working on it. Been busy at work. I’ve got 4sets cut, just need to make the hole for the brake light

If you make one with 2 mounts (cargo lighting) count me in. As long as it's reasonably priced anyways. Love the idea!!

Hey guys, sorry, i sold my first gen, so R&D has kinda stalled. Sending the prototype back to the developer to possibly continue on it.

Took every thing on the planet to get me to gut and cut my front end to accommodate my new Tyger Fury bumper, this on my five month old 2023 SR5. Not about to start dropping the headliner, and breaking factory waterproof seals. I've not looked, but I'd hope the cab light gives access to the 3rd brake light? It's a great idea, and if someone was willing, and the adapter will allow the antenna wire to be pulled without the need for another hole in the vehicle, it makes sense.

You bumped a six year old thread to say you didn't want to install it?
