I know it’s another lift thread, but I’m not fully understanding and I’ve been searching a long time. I have a LEER camper shell on my 13 TRD Off-Road 4 door short bed. The rear sags noticeably with it on. It’s at 160k miles now too and feel it’s past time to do suspension. I don’t want to spend more than $2k on the high end, but I would also like 1.5-2in lift. Feel like that should be possible, I just don’t know what to do about the sag, plus lift. Thanks. If you’re upset that I’m asking instead of searching and searching, please calm yourself and move on. Not my first forum.

Alright that’s fair. You think stock would raise it back up to normal ride height as if there was no weight?

Pretty much right on 200lbs. But throw shit in the back abd that changes quick. But I guess isn’t that big of a deal. I’ll just get new leaf pack as if it wasn’t there then

If you're buying new leaf springs might as well get one that gives you extra payload like steelhead bum mentioned.
I bought a icon add leaf with no intentions of getting a shell. Now I'm wanting a shell and wish I bought a different pack.

This is my 2023 with a leer xr cap and a heavy ass bed build with drawer and I think it’s level but not sagging, so maybe the guy that says you just need new leafs is right. I will say I’ve been thinking of just adding a AAL to return it to normal since I run it with that weight 100% of the time.

This ^. Said your budget is 2k. Both options I suggested cost far less. Leaves you extra money to upgrade the front. If you lift the rear 1.5-3” you are going to want to raise the front at least 1.75”. I lifted mine 1.75” in the front and 1.5” in the rear. Looks great and still has a proper stance and rake to compensate for loads.

So did you just put in icon leaf springs for that 1.5" lift or a pack that gives you extra payload? I think the 1.5" rear lift doesn't give you extra weight capacity?

Get the icon rxt and use stage 2 or deaver stage 2 leaf pack. Easy. Might even be able to stay on stage 1 for both of those but if you are concerned about weight those will handle that with ease

Correct but since I maintained factory rake rate(actually increased slightly), when loaded (bed or tow) my truck sits level. Typically even with a couple hundred pounds in the bed I still have positive rake. Option two would most likely be best for canopy and gear in the bed. I opted for 1 since I don’t have a canopy and typically have >300-400lbs in the bed fully loaded.

    Ha ha lol! Love it.
Add a leaf or two, basically tune it to your load.

general springs KC has less pricey leaf springs that are perfectly good.

they have a HD leaf pack too, that equates to about 1" lift and can compensate for the extra constant weight

2" lift front/back. Icon rxt leaf pack at option 2 with the weight of the canopy & spare in the bed....

President McKinley w/KLM 203P and threw the roof antenna, ICON RXT leaf spring packs (position 2), Bilsteen 5100s, ARE Camper Shell, Pop & Lock tail gate, Dash Cam
I also run a camper shell 99.9% of the time.

I just got the icon RXT leaf packs and installed them...I did option 2.

    It is amazing.

Add a leaf is also an option and they're roughly $70.

I just installed the Icon AAL and it came out perfect. Was in a similar situation as you.

A newer stock leaf pack and an add-a-leaf is perfect for my 14' DCSB and shell. Not too stiff and leveled with a 2" lift in front.
