About to take my truck in for a tire rotation at Costco (I know, I know) and decided to remove the TRD center caps so the morons would not break them. Too late; all four have broken tabs and are loose from the last rotation. $@!@#$. Thats what I get for entrusting Costco with my truck.

I also realize the rear wheels do not have bearing dust caps underneath the center caps. Are there supposed to be bearing caps on the rear wheels? There are caps up front. I wonder if they screwed this up too.

The rear axle is different than the front. It is retained by the nuts on the inboard side. So, no need for a dust cap.

Also, there is no need to remove the wheel center caps for a tire rotation. Only for mounting and balancing.

let them take them out and you put them back in.. its the putting them back in at the wrong angle that breaks the tabs. Also, keep a plastic scraper for wheel weights. They will use steel scrapers on aluminum wheels then look at you like an idiot when you complain about the scratches

The dealer broke mine and they came off driving down the road. Stopped and looked but they were gone.

And...ALWAYS break and re torque your lug's properly, after getting a tire rotation or change.
