Yall are killing me. I need/want to get this banged out.
But, I can't bail on the kid.
Im the closest thing he has to a father figure.
Won't be long, but, that seems like a lot of work to start after we go.
I mean, I did it myself solo in a day last time.

Keep your promise! Let me know when you have a day to do it and we’ll bang it out.
The weather in my shop is always nice but quite a hike for you two..

    I hadn't thought your shop.

I have a job coming up, and waiting to see what day it is, supposed to be a Saturday gig(nice long OT day, so $$$$:D).

But, yeah, I need to get cracking. Took everything out of my truck, to save weight, but I still need to add the second swingout, and put everything back...

Im hoping to get this out today. I think I am going to try an extractor first then try welding a nut then if that doesnt work drill and retap. Its broken like 1-8" to 3/16 down in the hole. This is the transmission mount bolt on the daily.

keep your promise to the little guy sir. I might take you up on that offer and stop by with my Sig. I have to get my new scope mounted, leveled and dialed in. We will work out a time that we can bang it all out. Even if John is on one hanger and rear leaf, I'm on the opposite rear, Harry is on one front wheel and you are on the other. That would cover everything in a day, front and rear suspension as a whole. I think it might be best to do it at my place since we can start early and it is close for you (even for the alignment afterwards).

K-Flo went through the three bears about a month before we did last year Jack. John, this video will give you a better idea of the ruts in the beginning. Looks like he went in October of last year and we went in November. We got through the first part but they apparently went around it. The sketchy bridge is in it as well. really decent video and it shows a lot of the hard spots of the trail. Not to mention that it looks like one of the people of his trip lost their drive shaft as well lol.

How was the wash out this year, did y'all check that out when you were up there last weekend?

When we were in VT, we found a couple sections where the trail was just gone - from this winter.

Ross is standing where the trail used to be.

    upload_2024-6-28_11-9-25.jpg

Right past that, this also used to be normal trail

    upload_2024-6-28_11-10-40.jpg

This was once normal trail, now the river took it

    upload_2024-6-28_11-11-21.jpg

There was another section where we got out to look around because we couldn't remember where the trail went, it took a few seconds, then we all realized at the same time the go around that was there was because the trail was just gone, washed out by the river.

Yet somehow the other riverbed was remarkably unchanged.

Whole new animal out there this year. I was glad I didn't bring my truck, it was pre-rear-bumper. The second riverbed that I've done before would have been a chore and a half with my truck after this winter.

    Appreciate it, really.

I told him to be at my place for 0830. Shooting for 9ish. I wa s just planning on bringing pistols, and maybe the .22 bolt, this time around, but, might toss a long gun or 2 in the truck just in case. I was supposed to bring him after he turned 18, but, he go sick. Bad. Finally strong enough to where I'm confident he can handle it no issue.

As it is, I'm getting harassed about working tomorrow.

I agree, it’s not much longer and we can bring lunch.
I’m game for whatever. Been itching to get out.
