    I know Joshua Tree national park is open 24/7 but can anyone tell me if geology tour rd is open at night time? The gf and I are going in 2 weeks to try and get some photos of the milky way. I want to stay away from the popular stargazing locations and go to a more remote area with less people and I had geology rd in mind.

    I think you'll be fine. When I drove it a few years ago I don't remember any gates. You could call the ranger station.
