    2005-2023 Tacoma Traveler Lift AAL

Adding armor, hauling or towing? Archive's Traveler Leaf is specifically designed to add load capacity, lift, and deliver confident handling with less body roll. The Traveler leaf retains the thick bottom leaf, increasing your payload capacity. The Traveler leaf creates an attractive 4+1 pack. Plus the added spring rate and lift height also helps you keep off the rear bump stops. We highly recommend our Hammer Hangers for best ride and handling, truly a great combo (flimsy stock hangers lead many to think something is wrong with the stock springs, but it's the stock hangers).

    Archive's Initial Review:

I'm very happy with the results of the Traveler leaf tested on my personal DCSB Tacoma. Without any weight on my DCSB, the stock 3rd gen 3+1, Traveler leaf, Hammer Hangers, and tuned Fox 2.5" shocks are a fantastic combo, but you do feel the ride firm up due to added spring rate, and lift is about 2". When we added 500lbs, the ride is very smooth, spring rate feels perfect, and lift is about 1" above stock unloaded height. Axle wrap is reduced but not eliminated, I did notice a little.

    June 2023 Test w/ 750lbs:
I was extra happy with how good these handled 750lbs on my DCSB and still held 3/4" lift (9" top of axle tube to frame rail bottom), and kept the rear off our Option 3 bumpstops unless it was a major dip or kicker (great combo by the way). I feel these could even handle a modest camper.

    Specs:

Approximate 1" lift (~9.25" top ofaxle tube to frame rail bottom) w/ 500 lbs added to rear axle weight**
(above stock unloaded height on a Double Cab 4-door)

Approximate 2" lift (~10.25" top axle tube to frame rail bottom) w/ no weight
(above stock unloaded height on a Double Cab 4-door)

Intended load: 200-700+ lbs added to rear axle weight** on a Double Cab 4-door

Diamond cut ends, tip inserts, and black painted finish

Leaf material width: 60mm (2.375") to match stock leaves

Leaf spring travel: same as stock (uses ~10" shock travel)

Ride with no weight (w/ Hammer Hangers + Fox 2.5"): firmer spring rate is noticed, however not harsh.

Ride with 400lbs added (w/ Hammer Hangers + Fox 2.5"): nice ride and confident handling

Made in USA with American 5160 steel! (NOT India or China)

*The 3rd gen 2016-2023 3+1 springs are similar, but not identical to the 2nd gen 3+1 "Technical Service Bulletin" springs. The Traveler leaf fits both. (Toyota will replace the old 2nd gen 2+1 leaves, contact dealer).

** The statement "w/ 500 lbs added to rear axle weight" doesn't mean 500lbs in the bed, unless that is centered over the axle. Overhung loads, such as tire carriers or trailer tongue weight, transfer more weight from the front axle to the rear axle.

Installed the Traveler AAL Add-a-Leafs in the rear in preparation for adding a rooftop tent. Happy with how they turned out.
