Good Saturday afternoon shop friends! I’m kind of panicking a little bit, our contract expires tomorrow, so I will either be working with an emergency extension or whatever on Monday, or I’ll be on strike. I really don’t want that, I just wanna go to work. So naturally I wanted to focus on something else. Even though it’s 60 with a 20 mph wind, the kiddo wanted to take her new tube for a spin. I had to oblige of course!!IMG_3707.jpg IMG_3708.jpg IMG_3711.jpg

Been trying to rearrange some in the shop. Today I made a shelf out of the handicap ramp that was on the house when we bought it. Reused the screws.

That black John Deere sign is pretty neat. I had a guy once tell me the black signs are rare and the ones where the deer only has 3 legs are very rare. Nice shelf setup too you can never have enough shelf space.

Got a new project in the works!!!!

I’ve been using my pellet smoker a lot lately making awesome bbq, but it has got me missing my ole stick burner. Started watching Franklin bbq videos with my son and now he wants to help build one.

I picked up this propane tank for $120 last week. Awesome deal, except it was about 80% full. I dropped it off at a propane dealer yesterday so he can pull the propane out of it.

Final product will be an offset reverse flow smoker with tuning plates and possibly a PID temperature controller. I’m still working out the final design and detail. I might even take it as far as running some CFD simulation on the airflow just because the engineer nerd in me loves that type of stuff

You're giving me too much credit

I haven't done a good wash in a while. No rain = no water going into the cistern = no vehicle washing. I'm not using the well for washing, the 3 of us use too much water anyways (well, the other 2 do, they don't know how to not leave a faucet not 100% full blast).

Took my truck through the touchless the other day. Did ok for what it was. Before winter hits I gotta remove all the underside stuff and coat the frame. Not looking forward to doing another truck :annoyed:
