Over the past several months the head unit has been giving me constant problems. All of these issues are when using Apple car play. It will not read texts aloud, it’ll act like it did but there’s no sound. If I tap reply or try to send a message it’ll either hear portions of what I said or will just spin for a minute before saying “sorry, something went wrong”. If I try to take a phone call or use Teams for a call, no one can hear me but I can hear them. These problems are usually constant but on occasion everything works fine.

Took it to the dealership but they couldn’t figure out what was wrong, tried multiple different phones including a Samsung. They updated the software but no luck. Their current offer is that I leave it with them so they do a larger diagnostic with Toyota corporate but I haven’t had the time to leave it for an extended period.

Anyone else experience these problems? If so, did you find any solution? My concern is they’ll tell me I need to buy a new one, which I’m sure isn’t cheap.
