I pulled mine out when I got my Tacoma home from the seller. They were not rusty on the threads but the top part (head) was unsightly and kinda rusty so I ended up ordering all new bolts and replaced them. I actually replaced every bolt and hook in the bed that I was able to order.

I should make a plan to regularly inspect them given the photos here in this thread.

I replaced all the bed rail and cap bolts with stainless.

In the rails I have aluminum T nuts and stainless bolts with resin knobs.

    Bed bolts up someday. Soon.

Don't care what any look like, just don't want things frozen

I bet it is part of the bed assembly and not sold individually. It doesn't seem to show up in parts diagrams but I haven't looked hard enough.

I am thinking your right because I've looked. Just figured since I replaced bolts that I'd like to freshen those up too.

Just verifying....... You used a T55 star, not a T55 Torx, correct?
