Just purchased my '09 SR5 this week and I'm stoked on it!
I have a question regarding the shell and fitment tips - this is my first truck so any advice would be awesome!
The dealer I bought from had mentioned that the shell was knocking against the cabin, so he scooted it back away from the cabin slightly as you can see in the photos. I also still notice some small knocking/bouncing where the side of the bed and the shell meet (maybe this is due to the shell being shifted back?).
Obviously I would prefer for the shell to be flush with the truck bed, but does anyone have any tricks for reducing the knocking around between the cabin/bed and the shell? Was thinking I could stick some adhesive foam on the shell?
Also was wondering if there was anything to cover the top gap between the cabin and the shell to keep water from dripping down and keeping the windows clean.. Any advice would be appreciated!

Your shell is scooted way too back you’re going to have big time leaks, make sure your bed is bolted down there’s like six bolts in your bed I torque mine down to about 55ft pounds

Are you sure that shell belongs on that truck?

Haha, i noted in the original post that the dealer scooted it back. i have since moved it up, and confirmed the fitment from Leer's website.
Still have a little noise but it doesn't bother me. I will check the bed bolts as well. Seems to me that it's hitting the brake light on the cab or the window on the shell is jiggling around. Going to also put some of this on the shell where it meets the brake light on the cab just to see if that helps.

I guess if for some unknown reason the shell is hitting your cab brakelight, you can just take
off the light and seal a piece of plexi on it. No one sees that brakelight light up when you have the shell on.
