I have a 2021 Toyota Tacoma Off-road 4x4 @ 40k miles with tech package and new factory hard tonneau cover for sale, $36,000. It's got cloth seats, BSM for safety, terrain control, rear locker, 9.5/10 on exterior paint (3 scratches that can buff out) but never ran through auto wash, always hand washed, 8/10 interior (children). never taken off-roading, never used terrain control. It's a 1 owner and I've taken great care of it. Only selling to go back to school. I have clean title on hand with no lien. Thank you.

Bad - It was stolen from a QT in 2021 while working my shift after a customer stole my keys and was recovered 2 hours later. No damage and I had ALL the locks changed out by Fowler Toyota.

Fender bender on Jan 2024 on left side rear bumper at a QT parking lot and all repairs done at Jim Norton Toyota.

I have repair reports on hand for proof.

Needs new tires and very light hail damage on hood.

I will do a professional detail before delivery.

    AZ truck with no rust.

Well, you've listed the issues which takes a lot of questions out of it for potential buyers.

    Tires ~ $800+
Not sure if the stolen part shows on a Carfax report, but could be a deterent?
Light hail damage, fender bender repair that consisted of paint / body work? could be a deterent.

A lot of folks are stretched thin due to inflation of {everything}, finance rates on used vehicles aren't that attractive, coming up on a 4 year old vehicle? I'm not really sure, just throwing some ideas out.

To further explain, I filed a claim on when it was stolen to get new locks all around the truck and keys reprogrammed. NO DAMAGE was done on the truck, besides my personal property being stolen.

I posted a “damage” report of the fender bender of the truck to show what actually happened. Basically only the rear bumper and BSM was damage which all was replaced new. No paint work on the actual body of the truck, only new bumper.

Slight hail damage is not noticeable at all, but when you crouch down and look for it you’ll see. Only trying to be honest on my post, thank you for your feedback.

    To expensive
People are not acting as childish as they were and over paying.
I think it’s a nice rig but stuff is slower than it was.

For people that are saying it’s expensive I have it marked up’d less than 10% of what dealership are offering me. I haven’t sold it to them because I have no lien and still got time before my tuition is due. I’ll wait out and btw it’s always $obo. :fingerscrossed:

The answer is always the same: if something isn't selling, then it's because it's too expensive for the people who can see it. You can disagree, but the results say otherwise.

Either broaden your audience, or reduce your price.

Personally, I think TW would be a good place to buy a truck (enthusiasts, you know), but not necessarily the best place to sell one (everyone here already has a truck).

I got the most action through Facebook marketplace, since Craigslist went to shit, so I'd suggest posting it there, and being patient. Also, make sure you're priced relative to the used market, not what the dealer is necessarily offering you.

If you're in a hurry, also look at the KBB instant offer. I've consistently seen 5-10 grand more from them than any dealers offered. (Just be prepared for a bunch of pushy phone calls, and then they do try to low-ball you once you get there).

Also, it hasn't even been 3 weeks yet; selling used cars takes an annoying amount of time, and finally, there is a small market segment that wants to buy an "expensive" used car and doesn't want a new car.

I really appreciate this advice. I’ll be giving KBB a go to see what that spits out. I do have it posted on marketplace as well, but like you said it’s extremely annoying to deal with people. I had one guy spend more time trying to sell me on his truck versus looking at mine which he contacted me on to buy.

Like I said, I hate to sell but I want to go to school for engineering and don’t want to go into debt, so I promised myself to sacrifice today for tomorrow, I will buy myself a new Landcruiser once this is done.

If anyone here is interested this is a great opportunity to buy a stock TRD OF, I’m willing to play with number, but I won’t give it away.

Thank you all for your feedback!

You’re totally right! With this administration the interest rates and economy has gone to hell. Hopefully 2024 bring us the fire we had 4 years ago. Thank you for your feedback.

Careful with the politics talk here, just FYI.

And really, it was several years of unchecked inflation due to low interest rates that brought us to our current high interest rates. More of the same, like you're wishing for, will bring prices even higher.

Do you have another car? I'm curious how selling your truck will make your financial situation better. And how do you even afford this truck at your age? (Assuming you're normal college age / 18-19)

Also, just a little clarification: the economy is doing great. Corporations are loving the excuse to charge more, and are making more than ever.

It's the individuals that are getting shafted (i.e. people like you and me).

I know many people conflate the two.

I'm in AZ too, and was offered just under $40k from Carvana for my loaded 23 TRD OR with 9,000mi. If the dealership is offering you that much, take it. The dealer offered me $37k for mine, and I have LED headlights, advanced tech, leather, JBL, etc.
