Good day today. Weather was crap for lots of the ride, but still a day on the bike.

I won’t talk anybody out of a Grom! Firm believer that everybody needs one. Just not as their only bike. So I guess that means she needs to buy the rebel 300 and a Grom

Well Amaris was on her way over so I could do a quick inspection on the R3 and tighten the chain. About a half mile from my house the chain jumped off the rear sprocket and got pinched in the rear sprocket bolts and swing arm. Luckily she was coming to a stop so didn’t wreck. She was stuck in the turn lane though. Gave me a call and right then a state patrol pulled up behind her. Stayed there until I showed up with my truck and ramps. Brought tools with and was able to get the chain unstuck and back on the rear sprocket. Pushed the bike to the side of the road. Did a quick chain adjustment and holy shit it was so loose. The chain is a 415 race chain and sprocket set up that needs to be checked often. She obviously didn’t do that. I felt bad for her. Anyway the chain, rear sprocket and sprocket studs are all fucked. We loaded it up in my truck and brought it to my house. That’s where I found all the damage. It’s not rideable at all. Good thing though is I saved the stock chain and sprockets . I also had a one tooth down front and a two up for the rear that I gave to her in the pile of parts. So the bike is on my lift and I drove her home. I grabbed the chain and sprockets and have them here. I ordered a new set of sprocket studs and a rivet master link. Parts should be here in a couple weeks. Got off pretty cheap at 64 bucks and of course I will do the work for free. The stock 520 Oring chain should last a long time and it won’t have to be adjusted as much.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Jesus Christ Phil, I am glad your ok.

Ha that's great! Gotta keep it fun, can't believe all the shenanigans my wife puts up with lol

Also had a nice trip in the Pocono mountains last week. The place we rented was sweet...big cabin with cool outdoor setup - fire pit, hut tub, sauna. Did lots of hiking saw a couple water falls. Got muddy on rented ATVs with my niece and nephew.

Put 400 miles on the Super duke, so much more riding I wanted to do but being a family trip was told I couldn't be gone the whole time ha. Some fun roads and great views, definitely need to head that way more often.

haha agreed! and ya idk how she puts up with me but she does lol

man that looks like a great spot! we are wanting to rent a cabin in Arkansas here sometime this summer and take the bolt to ride around.
trying to invite a few of my friends to go as well one of the times we go so its more of a friend trip on one of them but might wait till we both have dirtbikes to ride around on.

also off topic but why is the klx300r so hard to find???! there is two local one two hours away and one right next to my work but none that are used? im guessing they are just good bikes and people like them but come on i wanna see some used ones pop up so i wont have to be forced to buy new haha

Got a bunch of extras on the AT yesterday. Camel windshield brace and quadlock mount, GoCruise, and Camel pegs.

That brace is a bitch and a half to get mounted, and took 2 people an hour to get sorted but it's finally on. Camel pegs were an easy 10 minute affair. Bike feels even more ADV AF now.

Of course, I was so frustrated by that camel brace, I forgot to take pics of any of it. Have a shorter RAM mount coming for the TPMS that I'll get on tomorrow and take pics of the whole deal for reference.
