Down here for a few days of training and during the last hour of my drive I had my battery light flickering again and voltage settled in at 12.0 for a while…longer than what was comfortable anyway. Kept it in 5th to keep the revs up and shut everything off. Voltage came back to 13.6 and was steady for the last 30 minutes.
I’m supposed to head back to NJ on Thursday. I hate like hell to have an alternator done while I’m here but I may not have a choice unless I risk it on the drive home.
i-95 Toyota is like 4 miles away.
any other shops to consider that would possibly be able to get one installed and have me rolling Tuesday or Wednesday ?
One of the guys here on base recommended a shop in town…on 2nd iirc.
Anyway, lmk what you guys think.
