Has anyone figured out a remedy for the rubber pad on the wireless charger bubbling up (besides replacing it)?

Per previous posts about this item, it resides on the same level as the proverbial Tits on a Bull....

I replaced mine with a much more useful tray from a base model. There is no fix to the rubber besides continuing to buy them until you get one that simply doesn’t bubble.

Mine never worked when I bought the truck. Anyone know how to fix it?

No, they work very poorly. Don’t bother.

Thanks. I have apple car play , so my phone always charges when I plug it in to the usb. However, It sure would be nice to have wireless. Someone put an after market JBL radio in.

Mine, 2021, works fine. I turn off the charging component when I don't need wireless charging - no bubbles (yet).

S9+ (yep, old) with a 2-card hardcase on it, positioned in the bottom/right of the tray.

It’s a case of luck unfortunately. Mine was always off, still bubbled. 2021 as well. Oh well.

I’m amazed yours charges. Even when not bubbled, mine would constantly cut in and out. Case or not.

I’ve actually never used it, but it’s comforting to know it probably won’t work when I need it.

Knock on wood, mine hasn't bubbled yet. I don't really use it because it's super slow. I saved an aftermarket one somebody said they installed in another thread a while back, since I assume it will happen at some point. I think this one was supposed to push a little more power too.

This is the thread I found, but they are actually making MagSafe charging trays. And after reading some of the posts, I now remember this is the one I was thinking of earlier, so not just a tray- my apologies for giving you bad info.

This guy has a detailed video step by step how to replace the charging pad and modify the new one so it will never bubble again.
