I know there has been a lot of posts regarding seat covers, but I am a bit confused about RC. My 2023 TRD OR has a powered drivers seat. Apparently RC covers only work with manual seat and not electric(powered?). However, after emailing the company and getting a response that they will work with my seating setup they are not designed to, I was a bit confused as the Tacoma in their install video has a powered drivers seat. Not sure why they would use that vs manual seats.

in any event are any of you with a powered drivers seat using RC? If so is there anything I should be aware of?

    thanks in advance all.

Just let the side of the cover sit over the seat controls ... you do it by feel anyway.

You will probably remove seat bolts to maneuver the seat and get under the front seats for the front/back connectors.

I don't have powered seats, but I was not able to get the material to tuck behind the plastic at all like in their video. It's impossible. So I just pulled the material as far down as it would go over the plastic trim. Just wanted to bring this up as certain things in their video don't seem to be compatible with all seats.

Thank you all for the responses. It just seems odd that that they would use power seats in their video (and the covers seem to work just fine with it). Unless these aren't power seats.

Stretching for the 60% part of the backseat is a bit annoying ... work it around the seat to make the hooks meet, and you need to work from both sides of the truck for the 60% side. And take out the from seat bolts (but not full removal of seat) to wok the hooks/straps underneath.

Mine work just fine. They are just slick enough to slide in/out easily, but I do not feel I am sliding around when driving.

I’ve got a set with my power seat. Works just fine. I’ve had the covers for a year & they still look new. Excellent product for the money.

I just installed these 3 weeks ago. The are great. Just tuck the seat cover behind the plastic trim that holds the electric switches. It is not a cake walk to install but I didn't remove or loosen my seats because of the air bag connections.

install is much easier when I had the wife do it. I ordered the set for my Tacoma 2 years ago when I bought it...installed the one on the drivers seat and never got around to doing the rest. Got the wife a new 4runner and she did a great job installing her seat covers...so I had her do the tacoma....evidently, I'd installed the passenger cover on the drivers seat. Got called an idiot for that. lol...but they're all done now. Pretty awesome as far as seat covers go.

Also picked up a cheap center console cover on Amazon or somewhere.

Just bought the RC seat covers from another member, the backseat covers were easier to install than the fronts!! On the fronts, they have cutouts for the manual controls, and while I didnt tuck into the plastic, I did loosen the seat bolts to hook the clips.

another confirmation that the RC neoprene covers work with powered seats. I didn't have to remove or unbolt anything. Mine covers actually have a cutout for controls. they don't fit around the controls the best, but it's still easy to use the all buttons/levers. 2022 OR Dbl. I'm happy with them. I do lot kayaking with muddy takeout areas, and they do great handling that mess. It's not so easy to get my dog's hair out, but still better than having her fur on the seats.

Just sent this to my wife and she promptly called me an idiot. We don't even have the seats yet!

Are the ones that you ordered with the controls cutouts the RC 91030? https://www.roughcountry.com/product/configurable/toyota-tacoma-neoprene-seat-cover-set-91031c

I ordered these from Amazon, looks it's 91031. It's funny, now that I look at that pic closely I see why the cutout doesn't fit my seat's controls. I don't have that round knob shown in the amazon pic and the RC site pic. My driver's seat has longer horizontal button to slide forward/backward/adjust seat and short vertical button to adjust the back. one more button to adjust lumbar support. I just lift the cover up where the cutout is to adjust when needed. I'll trying to get a pic later. also, not sure if the options differ, but only my driver seat is powered.

I have the front row in my 23, and the driver side after 6 months is starting to tear on the lower section at the seam. JFYI.

I installed these in my Taco, from my order confirmation:
    upload_2024-7-5_8-55-14.png

Work fine with my driver seat electrical controls. Tucked behind the plastic trim piece.

The thigh bolsters on my seats hit a pressure point that makes me very uncomfortable.

I ordered a set and a sheet of 1" thick memory foam from Amazon. My plan is to install the foam between the seat base cushion and cover. I hope this will help.
