I have a platform and canopy on my truck. It works amazing. The only issue is my 12v cooler. I can’t open the lid unless I pull it right out. It’s also not secured. Looking to see others setups with plat form and fridges.

    thanks.

    This and that
No platform, no canopy, have had a decked, and some toppers in the past. Had a dometic, giving this drawer a try…

That’s a plastic box/cabinet I stuck together to help shield it. It’s not exactly supposed to be exposed. It’s lower and flatter than a domestic of the same size. Takes up a larger footprint but not nearly as tall. The drawer vs the lid is really nice.

So, my fridge is inside my cab, as it's too tall to fit under my Diamondback cover.

But, I did build a platform out of plywood for the back of a Jeep, which I painted the top with bedliner spray. I used bolt mounts already in place (rear seat mounts), with just longer bolts for the platform. Could you use the Tacoma's bed mounts for a platform? Then, I mounted a slide to the platform, and it worked out great. Plus, the platform can easily be removed if needed.

This photo below shows the design. The top was flat, and then the bolts you see were for the slide (so the washers are flush with the bottom of the platform that rests on the floor.) I hope that helps... :)

Access Cab.... wife built this platform for me. I can open it up 100% no muss no fuss.

Jackery 1000 Pro sets on the other side.... 12v connector into the seat cubby wired to the battery ( ignition on ) ...
Dometic then runs off the Jackery when truck is off.
