Yall heard there is a new cooler in town to rival our chonky yeti’s?

Apparently the Oyster cooler uses the same vaccum type tech as a Hydro flask and works with ice packs instead of ice

they say it has better ice retention than rotomolded…

for me i love that it takes up less space in the truck bed than my yeti but has a similar volume, but i’ll be waiting a few years for prices to drop

    Vacuum sucks! ;-)

But does not require much distance to make a thermal break.

Vacuum walls means there's no air to conduct heat from the inner cold wall to the outer hot walls. It's pretty effective.

the dollar is "worth -less" anymore.

It's planned that way to off set the trillions of debt/

I set up the Cosmitto tent and not sure how I feel about it. If the Teton offered a more subdued color they would be the definite winner. The Onetigris Cosmitto had a bad chemical smell upon opening the package.
I didn't stake out the fly on the Teton. My Teton is a 3 person vs. 2 I guess for the Onetigris.

Oh and a pic of some of the Stacktech gear I have. Hopefully they come out with their deep drawer unit so I can mirror the setup on the left height wise.

That pricing is crazy. I can buy a lot of beer and ice with the money left over from my $50 Igloo.

If you are mostly a weekend warrior and need to keep things cold/cool for 1 to 3 days a cheap igloo will do just fine. Unless you like to spend big $$$ or you want a yeti because it’s cool and everyone will look at you and say he is way cool he has a yeti a high end cooler is a waste for day or weekend use. However if you need to keep things cold for several days or maybe a week they are probably the way to go. They definitely keep ice longer.

As long as you don’t open it up every 30 min to get something.

Rotomold coolers are great for fishermen and hunters who fill it and leave it be. If you keep introducing warm air into it they are no better than a $5 styrofoam cooler.

I've been a camper my whole life and one of my personal biggest issues is trying to stay cool at night. Recently I saw this deal walking around home depot. It actually works very well. I've been sleeping in my bed under the camper shell for the past week with this being my fan on the low setting and I have not gotten sweaty at all. I'm near Athens GA and the lowest in Temps it has been during the night is low 70s. One battery last me all night long and has two bars in the morning. Within 30 mins the battery is fully charged again. Since I just got it I don't know the life of the set up yet but so far I'm pretty impressed.
