I’ve done some research here and elsewhere but haven’t found the answer. There is water seeping onto the driver side floor in my 2014 Prerunner. I’ve read about the a/c drain on the passenger side getting clogged (and the mod to avoid it from draining on to the frame in the engine bay). I’ve also read about rain-related leaks from the windshield, door/window weatherstripping, and the floor plug. But the floor on my Taco is wet everyday - it hasn’t rained in weeks. I can’t trace the source of the water (the mat is wet from the middle of the footwell all the way to the door). I figure it’s related to the a/c running (I’m in TX and it’s 100 degrees). What could cause this leak / condensation and how should I troubleshoot? Thanks.

Is water dripping from under the truck with the AC on?

If not, Maybe the evaporator drain is blocked, and allowing water (condensation) to fill up in the box and flood the floor?

Yes, water drips from under the truck. Passenger floor is bone dry.

if you havent dried the underlayment of the carpet, it will stay wet for a LOOOOOOOONG time. I would turn the AC on and watch the condensation come from the stubby hose on the passenger side firewall anout 1/2 way down and see if it is actually draining. sounds like AC condensation if it KEEPS getting wet. Thought I had mine figured out and had a hole in that drain hose causing your same issue...drove me crazy

Ok - I will check that tonight. I also plan to peel back the carpet on the driver side and check the hole plug on the floor. Would there be a possibility for water or condensation to seep in through the driver side hole plug into the cabin assuming no rain or puddles?
