Chicken thigh dinner with fresh mushrooms and Anaheim peppers. Baked at 400 after stovetop sear. Girlfriend was pleased.

Sorry, I don't for this. I pick it up from our local hjspanic grocery store. They have a bunch of different cuts prepared all sorts of ways and ready to order from the butcher. It's a magical place.

Ahh bummer. We have a butcher place like that here that does an amazing marinated carne asada (and $1 tacos!) so I'll have to check there next time for an Al Pastor style meat.

 

Can anyone identify the manufacturer of this. My best guess of age is approximately 125 years.

So this one is in the electrolysis tank next.
I already found it on ebay. I think it'll be nice when cleaned up.

 

I was able to rescue these as well. The Dutch oven with the drip plate thingy is an old Griswold. Curious to see if the others have markings after electrolysis.

 

Can you show a pic of this electrolysis tank please? This is some cool stuff. I think I’ll try to get my mothers cast iron cookware

 

If you have an old style car charger you can use that. Or mod a newer one...since most new ones want a charge to start.

I’m 62 years young and just bought my first cast iron skillet. Got sick of them “non-stick” ones that stick. So, hi all y’all

 

Fry up some bacon and some scrambled eggs. They might stick a little at first but will be non stick in no time. Med high heat at most.

 

Already ate supper but I’m gonna try it out in the morning
