    Hey all…I’m a first time Tacoma owner. I’m mostly a Jeep CJ, Merc, and Chevy guy. Lucked into a great TRD Pro with sub 15k miles and now am just figuring things out. Truck has a lot of aftermarket on it but there’s always room for improvement. Need some help on this garbage transmission but the rest of the truck is great. Happy to be a newbie here and get some recommendations.

    As for the trans, get a tune. It will help immensely.

    Nice truck! Good news is the transmission and engine are rock solid and reliable for the most part. A few problems here and there. Like @OldSchlPunk said a software tune will replace the stock Eco based software that controlls the engine and transmission. Been reported that it will make it like a normal truck. Getting this done myself by a tuner this Thursday. Going with the OTT. Even have the wife's blessing.
