    If I recall, someone made aftermarket bed storage for the 3rd gens that may work.

    There is a fantastic device for storing things like straps in the truck bed.

    Google "truck tool box"

    They come in a lot of sizes depending on how many ratchet straps you need to carry.

    It's just terrible that for this much $$$ the truck doesn't come with this.

    You'd think that Toyota would learn to do better

    I haven’t ran into any issues, get a hard shift from 1-2. Gear but only first shift after starting the engine. If I let it warm up for 2 min first it shifts fine. No issues at all

    Not sure if they still have it, but the previous generation's cutouts (with tiedown points) for securing fuel/water cans was pretty slick.
