ive thought about that but then i end up buying more parts lol. ill see how im feeling after doing this full swap im doing atm. gonna go borrow my buddies engine hoist today and work on pulling the motor and trans and all the last bits from the old shell and start swapping everything over slowly but have it all in the nice cool garage lol

speaking of this i now wonder why i like doing this shit? idk if its because i hate my self or if i truly enjoy it... the gf did help a bit when i was pulling the engine out thou to make sure it didnt fall on me but the front end is gutted now to do the rest of it and work on the new shell ugh!

It was a shop down on Hwy 32 that actually did mine. They just pulled the diffs and sent em out while the 63's were going on.

 

I though 816 did that when they were doing some other stuff for you.

 

Been driving the 2003 corolla around until I have time to work on the truck, and I decided the ol thing needed some window tint to help with the heat we've been dealing with since the A/C can barely keep up.
Was pulling out of the tint shop in reverse when suddenly, oops all reverse gears. I try to throw it in park and shut it off and it keeps rolling back. My mind goes to 'great, I just spent $220 tinting this car and it repays me with a failed transmission. I roll it back into parking spot and pull the ebrake. Then I try to start it. Won't even attempt to start. Now I'm panicking. I start hunting around for the ignition fuse or maybe some kind of automatic transmission fuse or anything I can to try to figure out what's going on. It still had power, but it wouldn't let me turn the key to the lock/off position either. Started messing with the shifter and realized it felt like it wasn't doing anything, popped off the panel and lo and behold, the shift linkage bushing had disintegrated causing the E clip to pop off and the linkage to come off the shifter. It was still in reverse. Reattached and and held it on and put it in park and it started right up. Held it and shifted to drive and off we went.
Went home and ordered a new bushing and E clip.

 

Ah. There it is.
