Lexus Credit Card Key Working in Tacoma

I have a minimalist Ekster wallet with an elastic band. I use that to hold my smart card on the outside of the wallet. The band was meant to hold folded $ bills.

 

For those that got this to work, do you also have to handshake this to the start/stop button or does proximity door lock/unlock work automatically without having to handshake?

 

Fairly certain the part number may also be 89904-24020 which is for the Lexus RC-F.

Has anybody tried to vinyl wrap or protect one of these? My used eBay key has a small crack that I’d like to protect.

 

I already started checking such wallets out. Thx. I found a nice use for the visor clip if the card isn't on your person.

Ouch. Looks like someone was a little aggressive trying to remove the battery. Not sure about wrapping.

 

Or kept their wallet in their back pocket. I paid $85, which seems like a good deal for used considering what’s available online. 3M is sending me some samples of their 2080 vinyl wrap in matte black. I’ll give it a go after I get this programmed.

 

I have wrapped mine, but only the middle portion, as I chipped the plastic trying to get the old Lexus emblem out. Did it back during the pandemic, and it is still holding up till now.

 

Would anyone be able to assist with a Canadian Lexus RX350 2022 mode. Fob FCC is HYQ14FLB. Tried some card keys on Ebay with no success.

Anyone had any luck with a 2022? I have gotten rid of every key in my life except my truck’s fob, and I really would love to do this, but it isn’t cheap enough for me to go in blind to try it out.

 

Has anyone have any success for a 2023 Tacoma? Looking to do this mod as well. My key only has a G on it versus the AG

 

I second the question about the 2023 Tacoma. Anybody have any luck getting the Lexus card key to work on the 2023 Tacoma? I haven’t had any luck and would love a description on how to do it. (I have already tried buying the Lexus key card from this thread and programming it to no avail).

Or perhaps backward programming the 2024 card key onto the 2023? Any solutions will do.

 

I am also looking to see if it works with the 23 SR5 with push to start. But it looks like the FCC and ic numbers are different

Sorted through most of the post but didn't see the question, but trying via TechStream to add this Lexus card and I get through the first "known" key, move that fob to the door (pushed open full extension) and then bring the Lexus card up to the start button within the remaining time window and this locked icon comes up. I sent the card off to get cleared (to the same service in PA I see most talking about, I'm assuming ala token method) since it wouldn't take on my first round of tries. I have clear spaces available for more fobs but can't figure out what the issue may be. Thoughts?
