I recently put in a new joying headunit and it's been good, minus my backup camera not working.

    But onto the issues here.

I parked last night, put it in reverse and left on so I could multimeter the wire for my back up camera.

    The lights were both working.

Truck off, pull one taillight to probe, both lights still work. Then they stopped. Probe on the correct wire,I was getting .92 volts.

Checked the signal at the reverse switch (manual transmission) same .92 volts

Pull the HU to run wires and shit, get everything back together and I saw that half of my HVAC cluster was lit up. The fan speed works, the hot and cold works, but the AC, recirculation and the blender door don't work.

In checking the trans for plugs and voltage, I checked the vss, as I wasn't sure which plug it was at first. Everything is plugged in, but still no reverse lights.

My speedo isn't working now either. The rest of my cluster works, just not the speedo.

I have a CEL I will pull codes on in a few hours when I get the chance. The airbag light is on as well.

I have power to the clock/hazard switch, but nothing to the airbag controls .

I have checked every possible fuse and relay on the truck, and they're all fine.

    Recap of the issues

No speedo- pulling VSS later to check it with a multimeter.
No reverse voltage at the switch or the taillights. - I ordered a new switch as they're 20 bucks
Half of my HVAC controls work, half of them don't.
No pass airbag controls, and a airbag light on,but I have clock and hazard controls.

Anyone have any suggestions for things to check?

I'll have more information when I get to check the connections with my my multimeter later today,as well as any codes I have.

    Thank you

I'd bet money you blew your IG1 fuse in the interior fuse box.

I'll go pull it and check.

Scanned with the OBD2 reader and I got 2 p0500 codes for the VSS

IG1 also powers the Vehicle Speed Sensor on 05-11 manual transmission trucks...

I looked into the ignition fuse before checking it, and it controls way too many randomly connected things IMO.

But you were right. In my frustration with the truck, I completely overlooked that fuse, even though I checked every other fuse that even remotely could have been associated with my issues.

Here is the link to the thread I found after you pointed me in the right direction.

Thank you so much. I'm going to edit the thread to show it's solved, and to let others know about the fuse

No worries, you aren't the first nor the last one to blow that fuse (or the IG1 No 2 fuse) and think the whole truck went nuts.
