    Just got it
I just got my 24 last week and used the buttons on the tail lights to lower the tailgate, but pushed again to raise and made 2 beeps but wouldn’t go up and the remote wouldn’t activate it either. Finally i found out that it was set to off in the vehicle settings. So, pressed and held the OK button on the steering wheel and got to the tailgate settings and switched it to on and all is well. Hoping this may help others that think something is wrong with their power tailgate.

Yeah - I mentioned it to my dealer and they fixed that prior to driving off the lot. Bugged me on the test drive.

My tailgate actually hangs up or doesn’t close all the way all the time. Anyone else having this issue?

I'm having this issue. When driving over bumpy roads I'll sometimes get a message that my tailgate is down. I've taken it to the dealer twice and they've "tightened" the latches but the issue keeps coming back. Also noticed the gap on the driver side of the tailgate is a little wider than the passenger side. I've read in other forums where that's "normal" but seems like BS quality IMO. Any body else have this issue and have any tips... words of advice I can give to the clueless dealership service department?

This isn’t intended as a slight or anything, I’m truly not understanding and need an explanation please: what issue is making the tailgate powered solving? This tailgate already weighs half a pound… my thoughts are that if you can use a hand to push a button you could use the hand to close the gate… what am I missing? Tia

I mean couldn’t you say that about everything in a truck these days. Why don’t you still have roll up windows. What about power doors locks. Turning a key to start the truck instead of pushing a button. Doesn’t it all just fit under the “convenience” category.

See attached via the quick reference guide. I felt kinda the same about my wife's Honda rear hatch with foot activation. But with a baby and other crap in my arms it's been used multiple times.

I think it Saves you from having to put down and pick up whatever your carrying on the first trip. I could have used it on a few occasions so far for cement bags haha.

    ^ That makes sense!

Another use case is you close it from the driver's side before getting in by tapping the button, without having to take a couple extra steps around the back to close it manually

I guess I never saw it as a convenience relative to the rest…. One you get to leave your keys in your pocket, one you can lock all doors or roll up all windows at once… the tailgate just seems … idk haha but the little comic thing is an instance I suppose haha

I'm glad I got a manual gate. Had Nissan Versa hatchback where the button failed and couldn't use the hatch. I like mechanical.
