Sounds about right. I grew up in the Midwest but reside in the PNW now. My wife and I miss the thunderstorms back home. These photos bring back some good memories. Great work, and thanks for sharing!

God Damned Right. Swung thru Carlsbad Caverns on the way over, too!

Actually, come to think of it... I think I was in New Mexico for that shot, but the lightening itself was probably in Texas.

I was genuinely surprised how much my pre-runner could do in mud and moderately inclined climbs.

Not OP but looks like Shiprock, NM to me. If it isn't, Shiprock looks very much like that...

Same thing with meteor showers. Camera on, nada. Pack it up, looks like meteors will hit 50' away.

Ran Slaughterhouse Gulch near Bailey, CO last week with my buddy who just purchased a 4Runner. Easy trail with a few fun & challenging obstacles, all of which had bypasses.

Nice truck. This is what my 040 sport could look like one day......... Is yours a daily driver?

Thank you! Yep, this is my daily driver. Fortunately, I mostly work from home & if I do go into the office in only a couple miles, so the truck sees very little driving other than the fun trips, haha. The goal of the build was to maintain reliability while being as capable as possible. The front & rear lockers and the 5.29 gears are by far the most functional upgrades I've made to the truck besides the armor. Do you have any plans for your DCLB TRD Sport?

Thanks for the details. Mostly stock for now. Mine is a daily driver one vehicle family at the moment. If I do upgrade it would be after I retire in a couple of years. I'm not too keen on daily driving my truck that's been modified. I like your agenda of a reliable and yet capable truck. Nice to see a DCLB sport done thoughtfully.

With 5.29s you should be running 35s :D

Of course! I totally get that, especially being a one vehicle family. For what its worth, if you get the itch to modify it, I don't think you sacrifice any reliability putting a small lift on it & running some 33s (esp a skinny 33 like a 255/80R17). I personally am a Bilstein fan boy, so I would suggest either a 5100 or even a 6112 / 5160 combo paired with an AAL.
