Anyone have emissions suggestions

Losing 60-80 per tank. Check engine says gross emissions leak.

 

If the evap purge valve is stuck open you'll get all sorts of issues. If its a standard leak (like a gas cap) its not typically a concern for efficiency or economy, but still has to be addressed. The gas is evaporating, but not enough to cause a massive drop in MPG.

 

I ate a big bowl of cherries earlier and also am having a gross emissions leak.


Any mods to the truck? (Fuel, engine wise)

 

KN cone filter, after market delta flow muffler. Both have been done for years.
Regarding the evap purge valve not even sure where that is.

If I can interpret this correctly, you are losing 60-80 miles per tank of gas. That's about 4-5 MPG. A lot.

YOU HAVE A MASSIVE VACUUM LEAK SOMEWHERE.

If you don't even know what an EVAP purge valve or EVAP system is, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you just take it to an independent shop.

All Toyota EVAP systems are basically the same and any decent shop will have troubleshooted and repaired dozens, if not hundreds, of these before. Expect to pay 1 hr of labor for diagnostic troubleshooting (standard minimum) and 1 hr for any part(s) replacement. Plus parts.

The improvement in fuel economy will pay for the repair very quickly.
