I just bought a 2014 Tacoma (4wd 60k miles) a few days ago I started having an issue with the wheel shaking around 55-65 mph.

I’ve had the tires rotated and balanced since the issue began and it made little improvement.

Should I do the ECGS bushing swap next?

If so does anyone know a good place to get this done in the STL area. I don’t have much experience or good space to work.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I would suspect alignment before the bushing. The bushing is a vibration more than a wheel shake.

Yeah, what he said. When my needle bearings went, it felt kind of like my tires were clapped out. You could tell it was coming from somewhere under the truck and it was more of a constant wommpp woommpp womppp rather than a steering wheel shake.

    Doesn't sound the bushing.
The bushing gives you more of a vibration. You'll feel it in your feet kind of.
Not a shake. I'd go with driveshaft or wheel bearing.

Yah it’s a pretty slight vibration and seems to be in wheel only. More annoying than dangerous and goes away at 70 mph+.

Never considered alignment because it’s seemed ok but maybe I’ll monitor it more closely when I drive tomorrow.

Also had safety inspection done last week, no issues. It’s a very clean and well maintained vehicle with relatively low miles so I’m hoping this hasn’t been a constant issue and cause for the previous owner to trade it in.
