    Hello Fellow Enthusiasts!

Thank you TcBob for the warm Welcome! Been surfing this Forum for quite sometime and now decided to join in and soak in as much info, opinions, suggestions and just enjoy all the members input.
I'm still in the market for owning my first TacO, and am considering either a 2nd Gen (2015) or a
3rd Gen (2020). Also depending on color/condition (rust) /mileage, Automatic or Stick and of course Price! Still not a 100% to decide on a Manual Transmission although the worry of gear hunting on the 3rd Gen leans me towards a Manual. What do you guys think of a Manual Trans on the 3rd Gen? Thanks for welcoming me to the Forum!

Welcome to TW, I drive a 3rd gen and usually don't have an issue with gear hunting unless I'm trying to do 80mph with the cruise control on (before lift/tires) after the lift now it tries to run a lower gear at 70mph and never get into the econ gear unless I turn cruise off. Honestly these 3rd gens run just fine with an A/T.

Welcome aboard! Depends on what configuration you want/need. Keep in mind if you want a manual you’ll be stuck with a double cad short bed or an access cab. They don’t make a double cab long bed with a manual.

Buckhuntin makes a good point, I wanted a 6' bed because I wanted to be able to sleep back there.

Thanks for the info GearHead (auto no gear hunt) and Dennis for the short bed on the Manual Trans. Actually Short Bed should be a plus for me to fit in my Garage!

My longbed fit before the lift, tires, roof rack and awning....

Honestly the "gear hunting" comes down to what the speed limits in your area are. Near me it's 70mph anything lower than that and she's fine even after the lift. Plus with the A/T off road you she won't let you roll back
