The 4Runners do it via the fob. I think the 4th gen Tacomas have the feature now, too.

Maybe….the OP gets to decide what thoughts or ideas are useful or not since his end goal is to get into a truck that isn’t balls hot.

    Same...
2007 Titan would roll all the windows down if you held the unlock button. Rolled them up if you held the lock button.
2013 Ford Fusion did the same.

It was a really nice feature, especially here in AZ. Just rolling down the windows let so much more heat out than the AC could overcome in 10 minutes of driving. But that seems to be a frequently overlooked feature that manufacturers don't put on universally.

I know about the issues with them regarding some of the things but I didn't know to what extent. The one time I bought a product from them was through Tacoma Lifestyle because of that.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Bad reputations die hard. I bought a driver's side grab bar, the item that started the bad reputation, from them about a year and a half ago and had no problem. Item shipped next day and arrived in perfect condition. I'd read others were having good ordering experiences too.

It's simple, just move to a place that you can leave your windows down. I never lock my vehicles and if the weather is nice, the windows are down too.

My 4th gen 4Runner will roll down back glass only from the key fob and rolls back up if you put the key in the rear hatch and hold it to the lock position. It was advertised as a way to put groceries in when your hands are full but I very rarely use it.

Wife's 5th gen 4Runner if you unlock with the key fob 3 times and hold it, it opens all 4 windows and sunroof but NOT the rear window. We use this all the time, especially in the summer when our son was younger. If I remember correctly this is something we had to have the dealer program and it didn't come like this. I really prefer this function over the rear windows only.

I have no idea when the feature was introduced. I think I enabled it on my 2016 4Runner via Carista. Might have to do that again on my coming 2024 4Runner.

In looking at the Carista settings, there are some rear hatch options. I don’t recall if they were present in 2017 when I did mine.

Wife’s Rav4 has this function, can open all windows and sunroof at the same time. Also being able to open the rear hatch via remote is great for letting hot air out too.

Doesn't work if you have a sunroof. It's in tiny text at the end of the listing (or it was when I bought it). I had to eat a restock fee to send it back.

It also flashes your hazards whenever your doors open, which was stupid annoying. I thought it was an easy solution and for me it just wasn't, unfortunately.

I used to take a nap on Sunday afternoon then when I'd go lock up at night the windows would be down. Who TF is rolling my S Down!
So I looked it up on line and found out that was how it worked and when I would roll over on my keys it would push the unlock and hold it down.

I am the OP. I had this functionality 20+ years ago on a VW Jetta. It is an excellent feature that I used frequently.

Well now that you said you're a former Jetta owner I'll no longer look at this thread.

Hold on now...when I got rid of the piston ring sticking cylinder dropping feature on my Odyssey the mileage went down a pretty good hit.Heavy vehicle, no electronic tricks, plenty of power is hard to overcome for sucking gas. the windows being able to lower, great.
