Just cancelled my Insurance with a company I have been with for 40 years

    I know what you were referring to. It's advertising. Good advertising pays for itself. It makes money.

    When my employer put the name on a stadium, the money came from the existing ad budget. It didn't increase spending one dime. Ad budget $ was reallocated from other forms of advertising to the stadium naming rights. And it's been hugely successful.

    With my limited knowledge of auto insurance I'd surmise the same, but I would query them further. It just doesn't make sense if nothing was spent at all by them, though different states different laws.
