So when I drained it, it looks like I got 3 quarts out when I poured the overflow in from pulling the fill plug. Looks like it went to 3.75 quarts in my research it shows it should hold 4.2 quarts. I’m pretty sure I have the truck level so long as my side step is level lol. How much did you guys take when you filled it up?

You never get it all out. Some is in the axle tube.
The only way to get it all out is to jack up on side of the axle higher, let is drain.
Then go to the other side, jack it up, let it drain.
No one ever does this. No need to really.

What you got out, looks about right to me.

    You are fine man.
Don't worry about it. Go enjoy your vacation.

FWIW, I never measure what came out, or what it took.
I drain it, then fill it up until it trickles out the fill plug. Call it done!

You'll know if it's low. Yours was NOT.....

    Again, go enjoy that vacation.

Sometimes due to the visible light spectrum of the surrounding area can reflect the oil color to greenish.

Break it off. A crush washer that's been slightly over torqued will trap itself against the threads like that. Normal. I just did mine yesterday, I grabbed it and twisted with a needle nose until it snapped. They're easy to break.

Took it out side to pour in a milk jug, still green as ever. But apparently this being green isn’t a big deal.

As long as there’s no ill effect on the truck after the flushing job, I would think that’s what matters. Enjoy!

Just curious if it smelled like diff fluid (that strong sulphur smell). There has been at least one post on here about greenish looking OEM diff fluid. Mine had a yellowy green tinge too when I changed it a few weeks back.

Like some others, I didn't truly measure what I drained and just filled till drip. Also per the picture, OEM level is below the fill port vs right up to it after everyone changes it. I don't think mine was low since the min spec is a little bit below the fill plug.

If you do decide to mess with the washer/plug, this is the set I used and sizes were exactly the same as what came with on the truck from the factory. Makes you wonder what washer they used.

Yes it smelled like diff fluid. Had no abnormal smell. Yeah, I bought a bag of crush washers from Amazon. But now wondering about their quality since I noticed a small leak. The diff was dark around the plug and below down the back of the diff. I sprayed it off with break cleaner back when I topped it off and checked the next two days and all was good. So all evidence is pointing to an inferior crush washer. This time I put a little thread seal on it. But maybe it’s worth spending the extra bucks at the dealership for a quality crush washer. I think they charged me about 13 bucks for one.

New gear oil can often have a greenish tinge. I would say the problem is the oil is too clean to be properly judged.

Charion is non toxic to fish, resistant to water used in outboard's, large boats, trucks, etc. Many waterways require non toxic oils. It's a bit pricey but it good stuff for any vehicle.
