What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Well did a few days ago and still need to paint the bracket but added a DIY Maglite mount that screws ontovthe seat jackers (flashlight is beat up because it is super old with a manufacture date of 2/1/1986):

Built a 3 board sleeping platform that's easy to install/uninstall for when I need larger things in the back. At 6'1" I JUST fit back there, need a little diagonal but it's nice and cozy. The carpet really ties the bed together.

 

I've got my Maglite in the exact same place! Few quick fists on a panel, it works great!

 

Finished breaking it in this morning.

I started researching new floor pans for the taco, i have a lot of really soft spots and 2 holes to fix. ugh...I really wish I wouldve scraped that rubberized undercoating off the underside of the truck the day I bought it now.

I feel your pain

 

Added some AVS window visors recently

 

Pup Mod.. probably the best mod you can do with these trucks..

 

Why does Toyota think it's a good idea to put the window channel right in the path of the door stop? Also, are you gonna have to replace the rubber piece as well?

 

Put extra d-rings in the bed bolts

These are the Sprinter van type. And I got extra.

 

Where does that window piece go?

 

Feeling cute, thought I take a pic of the fleet.

 

Put on an Icon add a leaf and after 3,000 miles they started squeaking like an old mattress. Tore them apart and found the two smaller leafs without isolation pads were definitely rubbing. Cleaned them, sprayed with silicone lube and cut liners to go between the leafs. No more squeaking for now.

 

They probably saved 40 cents with this design.

I didn’t replace the rubber piece, and the window goes up just fine.

 

Silly question. Toyota needed more space to mount their high fidelity HERTZ MPX 6 x 9 Pro series speakers. You wouldn't want Toyota to use cheap speakers would you.
