Looking for a shop in Boston / Northshore area that has the ability to adjust the preload on these before I install them. They didn’t come with a spanner like previous coil overs I’ve owned and they’re pretty clear about not adjusting under load and using a wall mounted OME machine. Any recs?IMG_2452.jpg IMG_2446.jpg I thought they came with 20mm of preload- but apparently they dialed that back after people without extra weight complained about the lift and the ride. THANKS!

Our main TV had a weird failure - the plastic stand on one side started cracking and buckling. I had been considering a new one anyway, so I could move the old one to the basement for a potential future exercise area.

So, we picked up a Sony X90L - happy with it so far. We went 65" this time, which I think fits the room better. I really didn't want to wall mount it because my stand happens to match my speakers almost perfectly, and it makes cable management easier:

I picked up a wall mount and mounted the old one in the basement.

I've been slowly plugging away at improving the basement for the past few years. Last year I put up this cedar wall to enclose the staircase, which is where I mounted it. I want to paint the ceiling black, do better lighting, put in baseboard covers, and wall off the utilities side eventually. I don't think I'll ever totally finish it, just trying to make it a little less horrible:

Those stand feet are so cheesy looking. I think b/c they expect most people wall mount them. I didn't do that, really can't in my living room. I was a little surprised to find several years ago upon buying my TV that I had to buy a separate stand to use it..WTF

The new Sony has metal feet, so it shouldn't have the same failure.

When I bought the house, they had the TV mounted above the fireplace, but I didn't do that because it's way too high. I really like the stand I have, and it's at the right height, so I keep using that.

I have a pocket door on that wall and there's a jog out on the other side, I'd have to get a mount that could also be pushed forward as well. Not worth it.

I’m just not interested in putting holes in my walls. I hung a heavy antique mirror with a heavy duty wall anchor. Our walls are plastered and I hate the idea of a change of mind later. Now your fixing and repainting. That tv looks great where it is

Sorry for the double post guys, and I want to make a big preface statement here to avoid a potential shitshow and also because the specifics don't matter.

As a general statement, "America is in a really weird, kind of scary spot right now" can I get a sanity check that the answer is "Yes, I see it too, it's not just you"?

I am not an alarmist person and I am not ignorant of the magnitude of domestic history that prefaces today. I just sort of feel in many ways, a lot of us are sort of stuck watching a lot of really heavy stuff fling and roll around without much to really do about it on the daily.

Again, just a very general question because I was always taught that if you have a question, and you're brave enough to ask, two other people will be glad you did.

"Officials say crews used a tractor, impact guns, jacks, chains, and a lot of manpower to remove the heavily damaged SUV from the trail.

The process took two-and-a-half hours to complete."

If I was a fire crew taking that thing out, I would have zero concern for the vehicle's condition other than "off the &*#$%#$ mountain". I am zero percent surprised to see it all mangled up on the flatbed.

It looked like the best bet while keeping the cost around the $1000 mark. So far so good!

I try my best to improve things around me and be a good person. I am just one person in rural New England, but every little bit helps balance out those who are just bad human beings. I figure that's the best most of us can do.

Anybody that can use a HJC full-face motorcycle helmet? The Snell rating has aged out but maybe for ATV riding?

What size Dennis? We got an ATV recently-ish and I think a few helmets floating around the house is a good problem to have
