1st Gen Haltech ECU Discussion

If it breaks promise me you'll manual swap it. But we have to be careful about what we do with your setup to not piss off the stock ECU too much since it controls throttle and trans. If you put a manual in the thing though we can wire that throttle right into the haltech and use the stock ECU for skeet shooting.

 

I really do love a manual gear box. I did have another Utah guy with an 03 who wanted to swap ECUs and transmissions a couple years ago

That's pretty good looking! Can't see my exhaust though

 

Installed a bulkhead for the Haltech interface, got tired of the glovebox cable being in the way. Also changed it over to USB C since all my laptops primarily use that now

 

Ooo good idea changing over the plug type. Didn't think of that.
I added a type B bulkhead where the ashtray used to be.

That's where I thought the Nexus would come in handy with wifi connection.

 

Wi-Fi would be nice yeah, mostly because you can tune the Nexus on your phone

 

Wifi tuning on the phone would be awesome. Also would be great to not have to carry a laptop everywhere

 

I just keep my 13" Latitude 7300 in the passenger seat back pocket, but I really don't have any need to pull it out usually unless I'm actively messing with shit which I don't do on trips.

 

Flex sensor and related items showed up. Turns out I ordered two pairs of adapters (gm 3/8 to -6 an), if someone needs a pair lmk.

I did have some luck but I also pulled the Haltech so I can drive it for now.

I also spend some time checking exhaust hardware and tightened more than expected. Right now I'm mulling over ways to remove my 1st cat because it's barely a 2" pipe thats welded in the wrong way according to the directional arrow. Everything else down the line is 2. 5
