Anyone who has experienced please help. I drive 1.5 hours to work and another 1.5 home. I have been getting a squeeking noise going over dips but it is not constant. It does happen often tho just not over every bump. If you rock it when parked you can also hear it some of the time. 70 mph and higher i feel some wobble but I have oversized tires that have an s looking tread pattern not sure if that is part of the slight wobble. This is on the driver front tire. I had alignment and tire balancing done which mad it pull hard to the left now when you let go of the steering wheel. I took it back in and had the hub and cv joint replaced. I have seen no difference the same problems are happening. I am also getting a slight burning smell from the ac/heater vents when on. I dont beleive it is related to the wheel because its on the passanger side vents i am smelling it from and it only happens for about 5 minutes a few times a day. Please help if anyone has experienced this problem or has any insite. Its a 09 base 4 door 4x4 tacoma 185k miles. Cross posted.

I try to upload a video from my phone but it says no extension and will not post. It's only 21mb under 30 so I am not sure why. Here is a photo of the new work, the receipts, and the s pattern tread on my tires that I referred to. To post videos, upload to YouTube, then link it here.

Your report from the shop says that they did alignment, and it was driving straight

After that, they changed your cv joint and hub?

Did they acknowledge that it pulled to the side? Seems like they contradict themselves, but throw parts at it anyways (at your cost)

I had a squeak and it turned out to be a Bad lower Ball Joint on new Lower control arms installed less than a year on the truck. Only did it when going straight, no noise when the wheel was turned.
New lower control arms (OEM) problem solved.
If the squeaking is coming from the rear, its most likely the leaf springs.

Also for the burning smell, Check to see if your valve cover gaskets are leaking.

I did this on our 07 HHR when the suspension started to squeak, I used both at different times, whatever I had on hand. I sprayed silicone oil and or Blasters' penetrating lithium white grease on the rubber sway bar bushings. It did help, but I have to keep doing it about once a year.

Alright, burning smell - check calipers and pads and salt/rust and grime make the slide pins seize up good, could be overheating a rotor, if so change pads rotors and calipers. That can cause a pull. Also, your alignment shop could also be full of shit and the alignment is trash, find a good alignment tech near you PERSONALLY. Now get out, push on driver and passenger side bumper corner till the truck rocks, if its a solid squeak/loud creak your upper or lower balljoint is bad- usually the lower. Uppers will clunk normally over bumps or hard jerks of the wheel, jack up the truck with a floor jack FROM the lower control arm because its a loaded balljoint and shake up and down and side to side. that will help you eliminate bad suspension components.
