    Hi Everyone!

    Me again!

Today I am wondering about the WD chains.
    How tight should they be?
does more tension mean more distribution?

When is the best time to connect the WD bars and chains? is it when the full weight of the trailer is on the ball or when it is partially on the ball and partially on the stand?

    Thanks in advance!

    E

I ended up getting Husky round bar WD hitch. Rated 400-600 LB tongue weight, 6000 LB max towing capacity.

Typical adjustment procedure is to measure the ground to fender height of the truck unloaded, set the trailer on the hitch, attach the chains and raise the jack so the weight is fully on the hitch. Measure the height again and make adjustments on chain position to get the measurements as close to the unloaded truck as possible. It usually takes a few times but once you get it figured out it’s easy to mark the right link for each side and be quick afterwards.
