I'm guessing Doug Thorley Long Tube headers and not the short tubes, right?

I'm also guessing the TRD tune (ecu) is what is not playing nice with the O2 sims and mods.

Mine lasted about 7 years on the Denso on this truck and then my Camaro before it started going out during wide open pulls. It was only sometimes too, not bad...

If you have capability of doing so, I would wire the gauge in such a way where the wideband turns on only while the truck is running. I'm thinking mine died a little earlier than it should have because I had it wired in a way where it would be on with key on ignition off. The sensor started its heater before there was fuel running through the exhaust so by the time I was done flashing, the sensor would be super hot and not naturally building as the truck was naturally building up heat as well. I'm pretty sure that contributed to a sooner death to it.

First question- Did you upgrade the Fuel Pump?

A very important question and upgrade when it comes to these setups.

I can't leave anything well enough alone

What sensors are you using in the upstream location, is it in the header tube for one cylinder or did you move it to the collector, and what are you using in the downstream location, where the O2 sims (not O2 eliminator??) are? And what sensor are you using for the aftermarket gauge, and where is that sensor located?

I have several sets of upstream denso sensors available, maybe they would fit your applicaiton, don't know.

    Denso 234-9051
    https://www.amazon.com/Denso-234-9051-Fuel-Ratio-Sensor/dp/B0018JUJ9O $125 each right now

I think $100 for the pair would be a decent price, that is way less than 1/2 price. Brand new in box.

I would be extremely careful whom you get those from on Amazon. If the price is too good to be true it's probably counterfeit.

I am on it with that stuff as well. These are not, I ordered 2 sensors, full price, and the goons at the warehouse sent two bags of sensors to me, with 4 sensors each (probably how they came from Denso). I contacted them and basically was told that if I initiated a return they wouldn't know what to do with inventory and it would be out of whack, and it is up to me. So I kept them. Hence the 3 extra sets.

If anyone has pics or a cheat sheet about these, identifying counterfeit, I’m all ears. The parts themselves are spot on, blue tape and proper part number etching.

the o2 sensors are in the upper location on the headers . The aem sensor is below this . The upper location on the DT headers collects for all cylinders .
The down stream o2s have the simulators

I bought my densos from RockAuto. I’ve had bad luck with Amazon stuff .

as far as the after market gauge it’s a AEM UEGO. It’s accurate as I tested it in my other cars .

yes and the vehicles has all new gaskets at the headers down from when I installed them

I’m wondering if that’s the case and where I should go from here . Truck ran great before the mods . I’m guessing the ecu is just going crazy and dumping fuel?

I swapped sensors with my other car with the same gauge and same results unfortunately. I’ve been chasing this for months

the truck feels down on power compared to when it just had the TRD bolt on kit with no headers and a 3.0 pulley. Here’s a video of it before I did everything

Who has upgraded to the FiC injectors? I have some 650cc that I never installed. Were they really needed?
What's the consensus on cleaning injectors? Any luck with Amsoil or similar fuel system cleaners? Or would I need to pull them and send out for cleaning and verify the spray pattern?

Hm, Montana plates… Where are you located - mainly I’m wondering what your average elevation is where you live as boost is different from sea level and here in Colorado…

I wonder at this point if I need a custom tune or something because the ecu can’t handle the extra boost and headers . Half tempted to buy another 3.0 pulley and see how it performs since i modified to the quick change pulley

Or remove the belt and bypass the S/C?

There’s only been a handful of Maggy 2g trucks moving enough air to need them. Most trucks with small pulleys would be better served with 520’s

I thought about this . Do you think it’s safe to do having the TRD ecu and injectors?

    That's what I thought.
I am considering my options in case I have to dig in to the injectors. Based off our emails today. If the TRD injectors are failing, should I upgrade to the 650cc while I'm in there and be able to go down from the 2.6"? Maybe the 2.5 or 2.4 at most. Intake and exhaust are as open as could be, minus a bigger throttle body. May still be unnecessary. And I believe there are some trade offs with that large of injector in regards to idle and such.
But first I need to verify the exhaust is leak free.

I see no issue. You are tuned for those injectors. I know others have ran without for various reasons. Those with experience may chime in.
