I have special vision. I can tell just by looking that all lug nuts are properly torqued.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Between yesterday and today, I did a hand wash, ran a clay bar over the paint, paint correction, hi-gloss buff, and a coat of ceramic wax. The truck hasn't looked this good since I brought her home 114k miles/7 years ago! No pics, didn't even think of it...maybe tomorrow.

You might be ok, it seems to happen more in the 16-18 range. Still worth some research for peace of mind. Google 3rd gen tacoma smoking, or smoking on an incline.

I got a 'phishing' alert when I tried the RM Engineering website. There maybe a simple explanation, but I always heed malware warnings. YMMV. Peace and Love.

Interesting. There is a large corporation called RM engineering, try RM engineering off road.

    Welp. Another mod I don’t like. o_O
First those retared Oedro wannabe sliders, now my Carven exhaust is coming off and OEM back on. It’s too loud. Obnoxious is a good word for it. Going through tunnels I can hear it sounds good and all but everyday driving it isn’t practical. From the inside of the truck every time I get on it sounds like someone made off with my catalytic converters lol. I’m going to miss the slight bump in power and mpg’s but it’s just too loud. And of course I gotta work Saturday. Again. So my one day off I’ll be under my truck swapping it back to OEM. I looked into a resonator and all that jazz but I’m not feeling it. Might look into it. Might not. Who knows.
So…until I find a less noisy exhaust, the OEM is going back on.
AND…speaking of spending money, I’m meeting with a dude on marketplace this afternoon to look at some nerf bars that may or may not be the right “look” on my truck.
One day the spending will stop. Maybe o_O

I had a similar experience with the R4T high clearance exhaust. I’m happy with the Magnaflow exhaust: https://www.magnaflow.com/products/...nd-series-cat-back-performance-exhaust-system

Your description of the 'wannabe sliders' might be a tad politically incorrect, but is pretty accurate. I had to laugh because I got burned by the same product. Sorry about the exhaust. Keep your head up, maybe the worm is about to turn.

Damn, I was considering the r4t, but really don’t want an obnoxious level of freeway drone. Does the Magnaflow still drone, or is it just less noticeable in comparison?

Also looking for intake recommendations. I bought an injen from a user on here, but the box is huge and gets in the way of my ARB compressor. Looking at the HPS or Mishimoto silicone intake hose with OEM box.

I also love my MF Overland catback. Sounds even better paired with the Borla Y-pipe (less drone & more throat with the y).

See above. MF has options to tailor the exhaust for drone. Mine is on the medium setting and is just loud enough to know it's there but not annoying in any way.

OEM airbox with an upgraded filter + an upgraded intake tube + the trd accelerator is all these trucks need. I went with the K&N 57-9039 back when it was $150 and don't regret it. They've gone up in price a bit too much lately though. Link to my install here.

I ran into that too on my laptop. I found I could access it from my phone just fine though.

You can also create an exception on your firewall for that page.

They are all currently sold out. They just emailed me stating they should be restocked next week.

I have the carven exhaust and love it.

I went with mishimoto intake tube because it was cheaper, air accelerator and the trd filter.

I have a supercharger so NA the R4T may sound better. I'm running the TRD air filter as well.

Actually looked at that MF you linked. Sounds more tame and might be a good fit. Yea the Oedros I knew were cheapos and were only 2 and change. Couldn’t like them. All good

Depends on your freeway tbh. I have long hills and spend a lot of time doing 5 mile pulls in 5th gear sometimes 4th. It’s really not crazy bad but 4th or lower is just too invasive in the cab. And it sounds nothing like what it does outside. Low R’s in 6th on flat are tolerable. Almost quiet but it’s there. It’s the in between or hill pulls or passing where it wakes up and is loud. I don’t hate it. I like it but I drive fast and it’s more loud than not for me.
