So, the detailer in question here is.... me. I used this following product: Armor AllUltra Shine Car Wash & Wax: Advanced Wash & Wax Formula and there are a few spots that seem to have a faded look. I went to a hand car wash and they were unable to remove these 'spots'

However, anyone have a clue on what to do? It's bothersome to be in the driver/passenger side and see the hood of the truck look off.

Not scratches. Just a weird 'smudge'? Not entirely sure. Have washed the car 3-5 times since I did my own type of work. Any ideas?

Since the only product you mentioned is a wash and wax shampoo, I am guessing that you mean you washed your truck by hand, which as you have learned, will not remove imperfections or embedded contaminants in the paint.

It is hard to tell what the problem is from these pictures, it could be some fading, swirling, or other environmental contaminant from your truck's everyday life, or it could be water spotting or even dried residue from the soap or a spray wax.

    My recommendations:

For hand washing during hot weather, try to work only in the evening or super early morning and in the shade. Wash one section at a time and then rinse that section before moving on to the next. once finished do a final rinse and finish with a flooding or laminar flow method to minimize standing water and droplets on the vehicle. and always start by cleaning your wheels with dedicated wheel brushes, mitts, rags, and buckets, then clean the body starting with the roof and working your way down.

Find a reputable professional detailer to remedy anything you aren't comfortable tackling yourself.

Where did you wash it? Was it in the shade? Was the paint cool to the touch? Did you wash the entire truck at once or by panels?
