Newbie question that's been bugging me but afraid to ask...

I’m just a reader… but from the thread, folk tried multiple of the dampener and various placements, but didn’t find the results they expected.I didn’t find a price, but suspect from the comments this is a $25-30 part. The comments seemed to indicate this is very near the end of the header pipe. TC is transfer case, which would only appear on 4x4 (the writer’s vehicle).

 

Go out and take a few test drives of used V6 trucks in that size/weight and compare to yours, I bet they will feel the same or worse...

Working in dealerships for 27 years, a truck like yours typically went on the used car line, was sold and never came back with any complaints.
Somebody’s thorn in the ass is someone else’s pride and joy.

 

Any reasonable person that buys my old truck after owning for a month and their head is shaking while it’s idling in gear will think something is wrong. The vibration in the floor and gas pedal were for numbing. Out of all my prior 3rd gens that was the only one that exhibited that strong of a vibration and idle.

 

I actually did do that, it’s in a comment I posted earlier. All three models I drove had varying degrees of vibration.

 

Interesting, Thank you. My thoughts on any damper is they just, cover issues but, in any case I'm certainly willing to try one.
