No the thing with her was she got used to me staying in her room cuddling or watching her until she'd fall asleep and eventually that became a big issue until we just cut it off for good. I mean at her age now she will just get up and come into the living room but luckily she's used to falling asleep on her own, so I just have to tuck her in. There are little phases here and there with being scared of the dark or what not. But overall the sooner you can get them to self soothe to sleep alone as toddlers the better

Yeah we got lucky with that

But, I'm not looking forward to those phases and in fact you just reminded me to buy him a nightlight or something

Supposed to help with the whole transitional thing

He doesn't care for stuffed animals, at least not for sleeping

I have a friend with a 4 year old that apparently has legit insomnia and I can't even fucking imagine the hell that would incur.

The issue we're having now is Rebecca insists on Rivers bedtime being 615/630pm so he's wide awake at like 5am screaming until I finally give up and get up with him at around 6. We need to push his bedtime up imo

    Oh dang, yeah that's early

I mean, Theo's bedtime is at 7-30 and even then I thought it *might* be early yet it worked out with Stephanie's schedule since she leaves when he wakes up.

Weekend though it's like "fuck me...it's 7 gotta get up" :bananadead:

You ever have anyone come by, or wanting to come by when River is asleep? Yeah, I kept waking up Theo for the short bit my neighbor came by to have a drink with me in the garage. Now it's like "Theo's asleep, see you tomorrow"

Oh hell yeah especially with how small and old our house is. Sound travels lol. Thank god for white noise machines I don't think we would have lived through Sofia's infancy without them

The worst ones are when you get that one Amazon driver that insists on ringing the doorbell (or knocking on the door)

I mean, his room is right there so it's like fuck...you woke him up, who delivers shit at 8pm

I was just thinking about that actually, we have this dude on weekends that occasionally works up into our neighborhood selling ice cream out of a windowless van that resembles something a fuckin serial killer would drive, and he BLASTS ice cream truck music and circles the neighborhoods until nearly 9pm when the sun finally goes down. I want to fucking strangle the guy

We had that for what, one or two days and he just quit driving through here but same thing. It wasn't as late but it was when the sun was setting like what groups of kids are you looking to sell ice cream to dude?

Kids are inside, they're tired, probably watching tv or getting ready for bed or some shit.

Damn, reading that I feel older now than I did 5 minutes ago :bananadead:

Did you ever figure out how to turn off the "you are being recorded" voice?

So, that was the replacement doorbell.

The original one never did that voice thing, and we just sent the replacement....to get replaced :bananadead:

But yeah the app itself allows you to turn that off. Weird that it was "on" when we never manually enabled it.

I totally get it. I see somebody drives around with the rear windows open for ventilation.
