Changed the oil again



Added 3 more holes in the bed. Doubled the amount of USB and 12v sockets on this side.





And changed the gear oil in the trans.

 

What (rear) bumper is that?

 

does it have any functions besides all white?

I take it wired up for courteously notify others their high beams are on

 

New rear axles, wheel bearings, and drum brakes. Thank god drum breaks last forever, what a pain in the ass

Almost got it stuck in some sandy mud. No pictures of that though. Failed finding a shooting pit to test my new suppressor

I didn't feel safe enough, the road I was on did a bunch of switch backs behind this area, plus it was a popular hiking place apparently. The main area i go to was shut down.

 

Sold some old trash around the place so I could get this!

Sold this 1997 Ford Ranger "Eda" with a blown engine. She overheated and spalted one of the cylinder walls. Eda was sent to Mexico for a second chance on life. I looked for an old engine for her for over a year but not much around here as they buy up everything in South Texas to send to Mexico.

Here are a couple of small pallets of edgers and stones that a customer paid for me to haul off and I sold for a few shekels.



I even had enough left over to buy one Breakfast Taco.

 

Door sills were wearing down to bare metal on the corners (most from previous owner).



Hit them with some touch up paint for rust prevention and replaced all four 2nd gen door sill overlays with the OEM 3rd gen overlays. They are wider and cover the corners where the paint was worn.

Slid back my cap and swapped this solid glass picture window for a sliding window from a Ranger cap off marketplace (forgot to get a pic). Now to sell the Ranger cap for some profit and finish sealing up some remaining bed holes to start the bed camping build.

 

The part number I ordered is PT747-35201-02. This is the double cab kit that has all four doors. Here is the Amazon link where I bought mine:

Also here is a link to a helpful thread. I followed his method to wet the adhesive then squeegee so you have time to adjust. I also used a heat gun to help remove the old ones and to bend the new ones over the edge.

Greased the driveshaft today, it’s a 4x4 so I have 5 zerks. I’m big with scheduled maintenance, but I gotta tell ya, I hate greasing the driveshaft and I know a lot of folks don’t mind it or love it. I even have a 12v Milwaukee grease gun, I’d honestly prefer removing and installing spark plugs.

 

I replaced the map lights, vanity mirror, dome light and license plate lights with LED ones I got off Ama.zon.
I also removed the overhead console and soldered the clip that holds the bulb in I broke off replacing the map light so the driver side one worked again.
I know it not as handy as rebuilding the engine or adding a lift kit but still proud of it !
