New to the group and completely new to Toyota. Never owned a Toyota let alone a Tacoma ! So far, I love it. I'm looking to add a bed cover but am reading you must drill a larger hole for the drain tubes for the tonneau cover?
Any advice would be appreciated !

My best advice would be to use the existing drain hole(s) and expand it with a "christmas tree" style stepped bit.

If you have to drill a hole to pass a tube through in a spot where there isn't one already, try to add it in one of the "cubby" pockets (which can be pulled out and worked with on a bench), or maybe above the wheel wells where there's not likely to be any wiring or brake lines run along the back side of the bed.

Don't drill blindly in the bottom of the bed along the drivers side half (gas tank) or the rear 3 feet (spare tire) because of the things that could be on the other side of what you're drilling through.
