2013 Tacoma 123k miles. I got a set of led lights was taking out the left map light and the metal tab snapped at the top. How hard would this be to replace harness or repair it? I was thinking put a dab of solder on it and hope it fixes it. Truck has lots of life left can't possibly go without the map light might have to trade it in.

And since i can't tell if it's on or off is it going to drain my battery? I don't think it would there's no light in there to complete circuit/ draw current but didn't want to kill my battery.

The passenger map, visor, dome and license lights all went in no problem and look good. And could anyone recommend better headlights like led or those really bright ones everyone has but me on road?

I'm off until Wednesday found a YouTube video on how to remove this! Super easy. One screw in eyeglasses holder, front just pull down, back is just studs/tabs that hold it in. Unclip 2 plugs remove 2 wires harnesses. I was going to try and solder the part back on that snapped off.

Soldered the clip, put it all back together and it worked!
