That's unfortunate, like mentioned, it's tough to guess based on other's usage and all the variables that come into play. Still a long ways out before I need to replace, hopefully some more options come in the 17" small size by then.

FWIW, Dunlop has a $60 rebate on the Q5S.

The supercorsa V4 is great if it’s a dedicated track bike. It feels like such a waste riding my bike in any kind of casual manner. You use different sizes but I’m over $600 deep on my set and they’ll probably be spent by the time Buttonwillow rolls around.

If i remember correctly, that's $60/tire as well

yeah the prices climb quick as you go up in sizes. Pirellis especially lol I think a Pirelli Supercorsa rear for my BMW is about $360 or so?

If Dave Moss is there listen to him. He's a wizard. Have him set your suspension if you can.

I don't really want to get the Q5S as the RC390 is going to be for the track only. That's also why I'm fine with getting the Pirellis, as they won't see any street miles.

He set up my suspension the first time! He did say to come by if we ever had any questions so I just asked him 2-3 times throughout yesterday if the pressures looked fine but I didn't ask him for any help with suspension as it felt pretty good already.

Small pic dump for progress and waiting for the sun to go away.
Module sat nice right here, like it was made for it.

Was able to run the cable for each light under the tank on both sides, then cross thru the frame and drop to the opposite side, this left me with just the right amount of slack and no need to bundle and stash any cable. Zip tied to the bars, the connection nestled right in the curve, and just enough for some strain relief. Or to get caught on something.

Better side view of what people see.

The control button had 3 nifty metal brackets, and this thing that used an O ring to wrap around the bar. I chose that as it was the cleanest and fit well in this spot.
The left side has way too much going on with lights, signals, horn, hazards, etc. This side worse that can happen is I kill the engine. It's super easy to reach with the thumb.

Kind of excited for dusk so I can aim at the door and adjust them somewhat.

Tire will be here Wednesday. Guess ill remove the wheel tomorrow.

Last time I think it took me 15 minutes to swap tires and get the wheel back on. Taking bets on how long it will be this time :anonymous:

You know when you're shopping for one thing... Like a new lever. And somehow there's a whirlwind of thoughts in your head and somehow you end up going down a rabbit hole? Yeah. Brembo Corsa Corta Pizzaria.

    Lol. What kind of tire?

If you ever get to change a mousse/bib those are a royal pain in the ass without a tire stand.

    Also 12in tires are too.

I have never ridden this bike after dark. I think the stock light may be set too high.
I did replace it with a LED light, and never checked it, but it was just a bulb replacement.
On the center stand, so nose down, and at the bottom of a slightly sloped driveway.
With me in the seat, it drops a few inches, so I bet that light is pointed at the moon.
    Anyway,
    Stock low beam.

    Stock high beam.

Low beam amber. With headlight on

High beam white. With headlight on.

Button has a LED that flashes when off and solid when lights are on, as if you can't tell.

What the people should see. I may point them down enough to get the amber light closer to the front of the bike. That should bring the brights down to the road where they belong.

Overall, I like them for Amazon lights. They should be fine for blinding deer and moose on the trail.

I know lots LOVE Motoz tires, but the Tractonator Enduro IT's i ran on my wr450 were meh at best.... and shit when price was factored in. That stated, totally different tire and use case vs tires mentioned.

ooooooo thats nice!!!!! Damnit.... that might be the perfect running light (amber) and flood (high) helper to my extra led light bar on my super tenere.

If it’s gonna be a track only bike, have you considered just running slicks? A set of Metzler slicks for my bike can be had for less than just a Supercorsa rear I just bought. They’re popular amongst the club racing crowd. A buddy of mine ran them today and he said he probably won’t buy the Supercorsa’s anymore.

I know all too well! Just finished my first track day with the 17 RCS CC and it was amazing! Did you see the new RR version of the Corsa Corta? :spending:

I aim my right side light just a few degrees towards the right. I like having a little extra illumination on the shoulder to watch fro deer in my area. Left side is dead on straight but right side is cocked just a few degrees. Just my .02

Haha yes and that's when I thought to myself hey this RCS CC is actually the frugal/value option compared to the RR! If anything I'm saving money!

I'm finally registered for a trackday going to NJMP Thunderbolt on 8/19! How do you guys think I'll do on Michelin Power 5? I know its a street tire but haven't ridden on the track in forever so doubt I need to be too concerned
