    ummm .....ya.
Well peeps...its just as simple as a wee strip of tonneau cover seal smack dab in the middle of the glove box lid. Mission accomplished..takes up the slack. 20240721_150925.jpg

I watched a YT vid yesterday and they claim the engineer did that on purpose for when getting in if you bump your knee there is some play. I call BS put hey maybe as it seems they all have it.

Once Toyota gets enough complaints the glovebox lid will get deleted. That's the most cost productive route for Toyota.

Robmotive added something to his. I hit a fair bit of bumps and haven't noticed it bouncing

Glovebox is designed to move like that the rubber is spring loaded to absorb or cushion if you bump gour knee

Mine has slack but the spring is stiff. It’s not going to rattle unless you are doing the Baja 1000 at 100mph or something.

They all have it, the gap is consistent, and most importantly, all of these doomsayer youtubers have yet to actually post a video of it rattling around. Everyone complains about it but no one has actually put up proof of an issue outside of them pushing it up and down and going "SEE!? IT MOVES!".
