The same shit everyone else has.
Getting ready to overhaul the steering on my truck.

    Again.

I replaced the worn out intermediate shaft and rag joint with aftermarket pieces and I’m not happy with either of them.

After replacing both of these parts with aftermarket pieces, I can turn the wheel full lock, and the steering will stop, but then I can still force the wheel to turn about another 10* or so in either direction.

I went through and tightened everything between the rack and the column again, and it’s still doing it.

It’s almost like the splines on one of these pieces are rounded out and aren’t engaging because even after fighting everything, it still has the additional play.

This didn’t start until I replaced the rag joint shaft.

And it’s kinda unnerving driving the truck knowing this is happening.

I would like to replace these cheapo parts with OEM parts and I know theses parts have been revised over the years.

I’m looking to confirm that these part numbers I have are the correct, up to date PNs.

Steering column shaft / rag joint - 45220-04010

    Intermediate shaft - 45203-04021

    Thanks.
