This noise sounds like a converter shield rattle, but I don’t have shields on either cat. I can hear it in park if I turn lock to lock. My exhaust guy said he thinks it’s in the suspension, I disagree. If it were in the suspension, I wouldn’t hear it when in drive, not turning the steering, and not moving. I’m wondering if it’s in the steering pump. It sounds like it’s coming from the right front area. Any words of wisdom?

I had a similar thing and it was my sway bar links, one had rotted out.

So you could hear it making noise sitting still and at slow speed? My truck is a ‘14 with 46k on it, so it sits a lot, a rotted bushing is not out of the question.

I could at times..depending on luck and the angle in the driveway.

Mine wasn't a bushing, the top of the driver's side link rotted above the bar. Though bushing could be a thing too.

    Front rotor dust shield(s)?

I had a low speed rattle that turned out to be the engine splash guard shield. They're pretty thin and kind of "tinny." I first checked to see if all the bolts were tight. They were so I removed it, cleaned it all up, added some strips of "Protecto" flashing tape that I had on hand. I put the strips on the outer edges on the inward facing side of the skid plate. I then painted it some Rust-Olleum Rubberized Undercoasting Spray. It didn't rattle any more after that.

I haven’t climbed under since returning from the exhaust shop, but this sounds plausible.

im trying to figure this out so i can I sure that I won’t get stranded somewhere if its a serious issue.
