I know you said 1980-1989, but the 90s pickups are the best. Plus 1989-1995 are the same body style

I’ve been a member of both for a long time. Life got busy, haven’t had a rig/toy in years. Finally picked one up, so it’s time to get caught up on the forums

 

We owned one like your little tan one in the bottom picture. Ours was white. Manual transmission, diesel. I don't know how many miles that thing had on it when we sold it, over 300k. I think the second owner put another 200k on it before the frame rusted away.

I always liked to watch the glow plug light when I was a kid. I thought it was so cool the curly queue thing.

 

1981 that my wife and I drove to Costa Rica and back, via Baja, in the early 1990's.
That was a fun year of surf!
